Trade Policy Division
Mission
The TPD is intended to cover current and future research work on the integration of Syrian agriculture in the world economy. Research considers issues such as bilateral and regional agreements (EU, individual Arab countries), the
accession of Syria to the WTO
and the implications of these negotiations on the trade policy agenda of the
Syrian Arab Republic. Skill building will continue during 2007. The research
activities and the preparation of papers and seminars are essential in the skill
