2. SELECT OUTPUT FORMAT

Once the parameters for a query are selected, you can decide the format of the output that will be returned from the application, choosing one of the following options:

• Table (syrdb_default)
• CSV (Comma Separated Values) File

Table Format

The default output format displays extraction results in a spreadsheet table.

When requesting an output in this format you may decide which data should be displayed on the X (columns) and Y (rows) axes using the Table Axis Orientation option ("Table Axis" defaults to Years by Countries).

CSV (Comma Separated Values)

It creates a CSV file for downloading; CSV is the most common format that can be readily imported into various PC Spreadsheets and Databases.

Please note that it is also possible to download the CSV file created when the table format is selected. At the bottom of every table output screen a "CSV File" option is displayed; by clicking on that, the file can be downloaded.

If you configure your browser to associate the "CSV" file type with your spreadsheet software, it will be started automatically when you download the file.
