
1. SELECT INQUIRY PARAMETERS
From the list boxes you must select the
Country, Item, Element and Year to define your selection.
To perform a Multiple Parameter
Selection you may proceed as follows:
a) To make a multiple
selection, hold down the <Ctrl> key while selecting parameters with
the left mouse button. Re-selecting a selected parameter will remove the parameter from
the selection list.
b) To make a continuous
list of parameters selection , choose the first parameter in the list and, while holding
down the <Shift> key, select the last one. To perform the same task
you may also click the left mouse button on the first item of the list and, while holding
the mouse button down, drag the mouse over the range of items to select.
Country/Item Groups and Aggregates
Country/Item Group names are
displayed in uppercase and followed by the symbol "> ".
This kind of selection returns the data for the components of the group as well as the
group aggregate figure.
Country/Item Aggregate names are
displayed in uppercase and followed by the symbol "+ ".
This kind of selection returns only the aggregate figure.
Long Descriptive Names and Definitions
When inside a Domain, on the top of the
selection screen a "Blue line" is shown which links (by clicking on one of the
three words) to the Country, Item and Element reference tables.
COUNTRY
It links to a table which displays the
short name (same as in the selection list box), the DB code and the long description of a
country.
By clicking on country aggregates
(underlined uppercase names) it is possible to obtain the list of the components for that
aggregate ( DB code, short name and start/end years of the corresponding time-series).
ITEM
It links to a table which displays the
nomenclature and DB code of a product (Item).
By clicking on a single Item (lowercase)
you will be linked to a section which defines the products and provides relevant notes and
remarks; by clicking on an item aggregate you will obtain a list of components of the
selected aggregate (with links to the descriptive section by clicking on each of them) and
corresponding multiplication factors, when used.
ELEMENT
It links to a descriptive note referring
to the Elements listed in the Domain.

each line, you can read methodological and statistical information referring to the
related Domain |
