Training Course: Management of agricultural policies
Under the auspices of the Minister of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform Dr. Riad Hjab, the Federation of Arab Agricultural Engineers, incorporation with the Islamic bank for Development and the Ministry Of Agriculture held a training course on management of agricultural policies.
Twenty trainees - agricultural engineers- from Arab countries (Yemen- Sudan -Mauritania - Palestine) , in addition to the NAPC staff, attended the course held in the period 11-17 of September at the NAPC premises. The course addressed topics on the evolution of agricultural policies, overall policies, trade policies, international agreements , as well as policies on management of natural resources.
The course was inaugurated on Sunday September 11 at 10:00 am.
Policy Forum: Measuring Food Insecurity and Malnutrition : Applications
for Syria
 The National Agricultural Policy Center organized a policy forum on “Measuring food insecurity and malnutrition - applications for
Syria“.
The forum was held on March 9, at the NAPC premises and was funded by
the project of the Arab Fund for Economic & Social Development (AFESD).
The
workshop included two Presentations by Professor Hartwig de Haen and Professor
Stephan von Cramon , from University of Göttingen, and followed by extensive
discussions.
